Bert van den Berg has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Bert started their career in 1998 as a Unit Manager at SFS Pensions & Insurances, where they later became a Project Manager responsible for merging two pension funds. In 2001, they joined DSM Pharmaceutical Products as an HR Manager for Food Specialties and later became the Manager of HR&O Venlo. In 2006, they transitioned to the role of Director of HR Europe at DSM/Pharmaceutical Products. From 2011 onwards, Bert worked at DSM in various positions, including HR Director at DSM Powder Coating Resins, Project Director & HR Director for the Arjuna Program, and Global Director of HR Operations & Solutions. In 2021, they also took on the role of Chairman at Harmonie St. Petrus & Paulus. Currently, they are serving as the Head of HR Netherlands at dsm-firmenich, and prior to this, they held the position of Global Director of GbS HR Shared Services at the same company.

Bert van den Berg pursued their Msc degree in Business Administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam from 1988 to 1994. Bert also briefly attended NYU Stern School of Business in 1992.
