Darin Brion

Biotechnology Product Intern at Drugs & Diagnostics for Tropical Diseases

Darin Brion is a Mechanical Engineering and Data Science student at UC Berkeley, expected to graduate in May 2026. Currently engaged as a Technical Project Management - Data Analytics Intern at Tesla and a Product Quality Engineering Intern at Viasat, Darin has demonstrated expertise in machine learning model development, achieving over 75% accuracy in component failure predictions. Previous internships include Aerospace Engineering at Carbon by Design, where contributions included the manufacture of advanced aircraft structures, and a Biotechnology Product Intern role at Drugs & Diagnostics for Tropical Diseases, overseeing quality standards for test kit production. As a mentor in the UC Berkeley Bioengineering Honor Society, Darin guided high school students in designing a nanoparticle delivery system for cancer treatment. Involvement in various student organizations includes roles in the UC Berkeley Biofuels Technology Club, Theta Chi Fraternity, and the Associated Students of the University of California, focusing on community engagement and STEM resources.
