Simon Cowan has over 30 years of work experience in various roles within the construction industry. Simon started their career in 1987 as a Site Agent at John Mowlem, where they worked on road and bridge projects for Highways Agency and local authorities. Simon progressed through the ranks, eventually becoming a Senior Planner. In 2001, Cowan joined High Point Rendel as a Senior Project Manager, where they managed a range of projects including toll road management in Lagos, Nigeria, and the design and construction of new office facilities at Speke Airport in Liverpool. In 2007, they joined Clarke Bond as an Associate Director and Project Manager, overseeing the construction of new carriageways, the design of public houses, and proposed developments in Abuja, Nigeria. Cowan is currently working at Driver Trett, where they have held several roles, including Director of Driver Group Africa.
Simon Cowan attended the University of Bradford from 1983 to 1987, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil and Structural Engineering.
