Yasir Hashim's work experience includes being a Co-Founder and CEO at Lumen since July 2017. Prior to that, they worked as a Partner at Regenic from August 2016 to August 2017, where they focused on improving the quality of life for individuals with Treatment Resistant Epilepsy. Yasir also served as a Next Generation Sequencing Molecular Biologist Assistant at Ayass BioScience, LLC from July 2016 to September 2016, where they conducted DNA extraction and purification and assisted in validating panels for neurological and cardiovascular disorders. Additionally, they worked as a Cardiology Intern at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas from June 2013 to August 2013, where they participated in a large scale multivariable study on LV mass and volumes in patients.

Yasir Hashim pursued their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology and Environmental Studies from Austin College during the period from 2011 to 2015. Following this, they furthered their education at The University of Texas at Dallas, where they completed their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Applied Cognition and Neuroscience from 2015 to 2016.
