Mark Pauly has a diverse work experience in the military and aviation sectors. Mark began their career in 2009 as the Chief of Courseware, where they provided instruction during the F-15E Formal Training Unit course and evaluated training material. From 2012 to 2021, they held various roles in the United States Air Force, including Assistant Director of Operations and Inspector General. In these positions, they oversaw squadron operations, conducted inspections, and investigated complaints. Mark also served as the Assistant Director of Operations and Director of Inspections, where they played a vital role in maintaining nuclear surety and readiness. In 2021, they became the Assistant Director of Operations for the Delaware Resource Group, and later in 2022, they started working as an F15 E Simulator Instructor.

Mark Pauly completed their Bachelor of Science in Physics at UCLA from 1994 to 1999. Mark then pursued their Master of Arts in Secondary Education and Teaching at the University of Southern California from 2011 to 2012.
