Dmitry C. is an experienced software engineering leader currently serving as Director of Software Engineering at Dremio since May 2022, overseeing key areas of the Query Engine organization, including the Query Execution team and the implementation of foundational components like Apache Arrow and Apache Gandiva. Prior to Dremio, Dmitry held the position of Senior Manager of Software Engineering at Salesforce, focusing on the Tableau Prep product family, and previously served as Manager of Engineering at Tableau, where significant advancements were made in the Hyper database system. Earlier experiences include roles as Staff Software Engineer at Tableau, Software Engineer at Inrix, and Software Engineer at Microsoft Corporation, contributing to innovative solutions across various high-impact projects. Dmitry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Latvijas Universitate.
