Rui Jiang has a diverse range of work experience. In 2016, they worked as a Calculus Peer Tutor at Land O'Lakes Christian School. In 2019, they held multiple roles, including President at Dream Corps, where they led a team and organized activities to support children in poor areas of China. They also worked as the Director of Sound Department at Peace Theater Club, contributing to the production through sound design. Rui Jiang then gained experience as a Business Development Manager at Yuanshenda Tech. Trading Co., Ltd. In 2020, they worked as a Data Analyst at ByteDance, followed by a brief stint as a Business Analyst at Tencent in 2021. During that same year, they also worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Bank of China.

Rui Jiang holds a Master's degree in Applied Urban Science and Informatics from New York University, which they obtained from 2022 to 2023. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Major and Business Analytics Co-Major at Indiana University Bloomington from 2018 to 2021. Rui Jiang received their High School Diploma from Land O'Lakes Christian School in 2018, where they participated in the Regular/General High School/Secondary Diploma Program.
