Duncan Mounsey BEng serves as the Plant Performance Team Manager at Drax Group since December 2021, after a lengthy tenure at the same company beginning in March 2007 in various roles, including Materials Handling Fuel Supply Section Head, Generation Coordinator, Generation Safety Controller, and Process Performance Technician. Responsibilities have included managing maintenance, plant release, and outage planning, commissioning biomass systems, designing biomass and PFA injection systems, and conducting extensive testing on boiler systems. Prior to this, Duncan Mounsey worked as a Unit Controller and Power Plant Operator at Drax Power from December 1997 to March 2007, overseeing the safe and efficient operation of a 660 MW generating unit. Education includes a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Six Sigma and materials from Bradford University, completed in 2009.
