Arabella Freeman is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions and a strong focus on bioenergy and carbon capture. As the Senior Vice President of Biomass Strategy at Drax Group since November 2016, Arabella has played a key role in the global leadership team for bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS) and has been responsible for securing global fibre supply for related projects. Previously, Arabella led significant acquisitions valued over $1 billion during a tenure as Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at Drax Group from 2016 to 2021. With additional experience as an M&A Manager at BG Group and a Non-Executive Director at C-Capture Ltd., Arabella also brings managerial skills from earlier positions as a Petroleum Engineer at ARCO British Limited. Arabella Freeman holds a Master of Engineering from the University of Oxford and an Advanced Course degree from the University of Cambridge.
