Mads Leth-Petersen is the municipal director at Dragør Kommune. Mads has previously worked as the vicedirektør at Miljøstyrelsen from May 2014 to February 2020, the konstitueret direktør at Naturstyrelsen from May 2013 to April 2014, and as the koncernøkonomichef i Miljøministeriets departement from November 2009 to April 2013. Leth-Petersen has also worked as a fuldmægtig at both Miljøministeriet from November 2003 to November 2006 and Skov- og Naturstyrelsen, Miljøministeriet from November 2006 to November 2009. Their first job was as an AC at Fyns Amt from March 1996 to January 2000.

Mads Leth-Petersen has a degree in agronomy from the Kongelige Veterinær- og Landbohøjskole, or the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University.
