Brett Chilton-Jones has a diverse work experience in the software industry. Brett started their career in 2004 as a Software Developer at JustEnough Software and later joined PSU International as a Software Developer/Data Analyst in 2005. In 2006, they joined Sage as a Principal Software Architect, where they worked on various projects such as Sage One, My Business, and My Invoicing until 2017. In the same year, they took on the role of Director at both Draftworx and Cync, where they focused on software architecture.

Brett Chilton-Jones attended Northcliff Primary from 1988 to 1995, where they completed their primary school education. Brett then went on to study at Northcliff High School from 1996 to 2000. Brett pursued higher education at the University of Johannesburg, where they obtained a Bsc.IT degree from 2001 to 2004. During their time at the university, their studies encompassed Mathematics, Computer Science, Informatics, and Statistics.
