Office And Events Manager at Dr. Squatch Soap Co.

Aja Cook has over 13 years of experience in the dental industry. Starting in 2007, they worked as a Financial/Treatment Coordinator for Brian C. Rubens, DDS, MS. In this role, they resolved multiple claim issues from file origination through to payment reconciliation, self-taught medical claim knowledge and submission while coordinating with dental, and presented treatment plans with signed agreements. In 2010, they moved to Dr. Paul A Huddleston & Associates, DDS, where they served as a Financial/Treatment Coordinator. Her responsibilities included being the principal liaison between the practice, patients, insurance companies and vendors, financial and insurance coordination, and developing a formula for more accurate insurance estimates. Aja also implemented an inventory supply system and purchased all office supplies, resulting in decreased overhead. In 2014, they joined Southbay Braces (now called Beach Cities Orthodontics) as a Front Office Administrator. Her roles included creating and implementing a coding system for more accurate legal documentation, drafting and mailing dictated treatment letters to referring doctors, and working to improve the aesthetics of the office. In 2016, they joined Playa Vista Orthodontics (now called Playa Orthodontics) as a Project Manager and Marketing Manager. Her roles included creating and executing a project calendar to completion with deadline implementation, initiating and coordinating lunch meetings between clients, and designing in-office flyers, customer instruction and referral cards, social media ads and promotions. In 2022, they joined First Resonance as an Office Manager and Dr. Squatch as a Front Office Coordinator. In their role at First Resonance, they facilitated office expansion, relocation and improvements, while assisting with maintaining IT infrastructure. Aja also managed employee onboarding such as; purchased new electronics, workstations, and accessories, and liaised with building management for facility parking key cards/validations. Her financial responsibilities included; supporting VP of Finance by managing office budget and invoices, maintained subscription grid and assess for renewals via Trelica.

Aja Cook has a wealth of experience in the dental industry, having worked in various roles over the past 13 years. Aja has demonstrated their ability to provide outstanding customer service and create a zen-like environment, resulting in increased business revenue of almost 400%. Her roles have included financial and treatment coordination, project and marketing management, office management and front office coordination.

Aja Cook attended Bryman College from 2004 to 2005 and obtained a Dental Assisting Diploma in the field of Dental Assisting/Assistant.
