Ashley Mitchell, Ed.D., currently serves as the 7th Grade Team Lead and ELA Teacher at Dr. Richard Izquierdo Health & Science Charter School and as a Content Developer for The GMarie Group. With experience in educational leadership, Mitchell has previously held positions such as Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Forte Preparatory Academy Charter School and Mentor Teacher and Grade Team Lead at Ascend Public Charter Schools. Mitchell's background includes roles as a Regional Consultant at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and a Teacher at Brooklyn Laboratory Charter School. An accomplished educator, Mitchell has contributed as the Humanities Department Co-Chair at the University of Chicago Charter School and as a Tutor and Campus Campaign Coordinator through various initiatives, including Teach For America. Educational achievements include a Doctor of Education in K-12 Educational Leadership and Policy from Vanderbilt University, a Master of Arts in Secondary Education and Teaching from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Race & Ethnic Studies from the University of Chicago.
