Dirk Utpadel has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Dirk started their career in 1992 as a Werkzeugmechaniker Stanz- und Umformtechnik at Elring Klinger, where they worked until 2000. From 2000 to 2003, they worked as a CNC-Fräser kubische Fertigung at Gebr. Heller Maschinenfabrik GmbH. Dirk then joined Walter AG (Walter Tools) as a CNC-Programmierer from 2005 to 2012. Following that, they worked as an Application Engineer at Makino Europe GmbH from 2012 to 2014. Dirk then became an Anwendungstechniker CAD/CAM at Delcam from 2014 to 2016. Dirk then worked as a Technical Sales Engineer CAD/CAM at Autodesk from 2016 to 2017. In 2017, they joined Walter Möck GmbH as a Fertigungsleiter until 2018. Currently, Dirk is a Presales Consultant CAM at DPS Software GmbH, a position they have held since 2018.

Dirk Utpadel attended Fachschule für Technik in Kirchheim (Teck) from 2003 to 2005. During this time, they pursued a degree in Konstruktion and successfully completed the program, earning the degree of "staatl. geprüft. Maschinenbautechniker."
