Clare Kirkham is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Head of Junior School at Downsend School since January 2017. Prior to this role, Clare held the position of Head of English in the Junior School at Guildford High School from September 2009 to December 2016, and served as Head of Pre-Prep at Barfield School Educational Trust Limited from September 2004 to July 2009. Clare's educational qualifications include a National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) obtained from STSN between 2019 and 2020, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from the Institute of Education at UCL, and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Classical Civilisation from the University of Leeds. Clare's foundational education was completed at Northwood College for Girls GDST.
