Gael De Martelaere is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management, currently serving as the Global Director of Direct Procurement at Dow since August 2015. This role involves developing and implementing procurement strategies for over $13 billion in spending across various sectors, while strengthening supplier relationships. Previously held positions include Global Sourcing Director for Logistics and Strategic Sourcing Director, where Gael managed a global team and $2.7 billion in raw material spending. With a proven track record in optimizing supply chain processes and driving operational efficiency, Gael has also held various roles at Dow since 2002, including Global Supply Chain Leader and Global Operations Manager. Gael's educational credentials include a Master in Business Management from Northwood University, a Six Sigma Black Belt from The Dow Chemical Company, and a Master's in Mechanical-Electrotechnical Engineering from Ghent University. Gael is also a member of Procurement Foundry since April 2021.
