Myriam El Khawand has a diverse work experience in the field of genomics and research. Myriam started their career at Dovetail Genomics in 2018, where they held multiple roles including Head of Customer Success, Senior Scientist in Customer Success, and Customer Success Scientist II. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Scientist and Lecturer at Saint Joseph University of Beirut from 2015 to 2017. Myriam also worked as a PHD Researcher at the University of Warwick from 2010 to 2015 and as a Graduate Researcher at the American University of Beirut from 2008 to 2010.

Myriam El Khawand completed their education with a Master's Degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the American University of Beirut in 2010. Myriam then pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Molecular Biology, first at the University of Warwick from 2010 to 2012, and later at the University of East Anglia from 2012 to 2015.
