Sinethemba January is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in risk management, financial crimes, and cyber security. Currently serving as a Risk Project Manager at DotModus since August 2021 and holding the title of Assistant Vice President at Absa Group since July 2018, Sinethemba has developed expertise in financial crime prevention. Previous experience includes positions as a Cyber Security Researcher/Software Developer at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research from February 2016 to July 2018 and as a Senior Programmer at Singular Systems from February 2014 to January 2016. An early career at Deloitte South Africa as a Junior Consultant from July 2012 to January 2014 and tutoring roles at Rhodes University complement Sinethemba's extensive experience. Sinethemba holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems and Mathematical Statistics from Rhodes University, obtained between 2007 and 2011.
