Joseph Appleyard has a diverse work experience in software development. Joseph started working as a Software Engineer at Seed Software in September 2013, where they worked until June 2014. After that, they joined BigHand as a Graduate Software Developer in June 2014 and was promoted to the role of Software Engineer in April 2016. Joseph worked at BigHand until April 2017. Currently, they are working at dotdigital as a Software Developer since May 2017 and was recently promoted to Lead Developer in August 2021.

Joseph Appleyard attended the University of Hull from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Computer Science with Games Development. In 2015, they obtained additional certifications including MCPS: Microsoft Certified Professional from Microsoft and MS: Programming in C# from Microsoft.
