Scott Wicken

Scott Wicken has worked in a variety of roles since 2005. Scott began their career as a Computer Technician at Masters Computers, where they diagnosed and repaired personal and business computers, sold and maintained stock of computer parts and accessories, and performed on-site repair and network configuration/installs. In 2007, they began working as a Case Specialist at Sitel, where they handled calls directly from technicians for Hewlett-Packard and assisted them in the tear down and re-assembly of high end corporate printers and hardware. Scott then moved on to EB Games Canada in 2009, where they were promoted to key holder within a month of first employment and was responsible for completing transactions, opening/closing the store, and handling cash. In 2011, they began working at HCB Canada as an IT Department/Fundraiser, where they handled fund-raising calls for various charitable organizations and programmed systems to assist management in data collection and report generation. In 2013, they began working at Gate House Hotel/Ristorante Giardino as Front Desk/Kitchen Staff, where they looked after the needs of guests at the hotel and restaurant and assisted in the kitchen during the busy season. In 2014, they began working as an IT Support Specialist at Mortware/call4pchelp, where they were responsible for end to end support of Mortware Funeral Home Management software, installation/configuration of the SQL server and client software, and full training on use of the software for end users. In 2015, they began working at Yardi as a Technical Account Manager, where they supported clients during the implementation of their marketing and resident services web portals and used jQuery, javascript, and CSS to customize marketing templates to client needs. In 2017, they began working at N8 Identity Inc. as a Software Engineer, where they were responsible for creating components end to end for use in Identity Management (Governance, Risk and Compliance) software, worked with AI systems responsible for prediction of employee access, created several front end projects for demo and sales purposes, engineered multiple angular components with corresponding back-end code, and maintained the entire mobile-friendly view of the application. Scott is currently working at dotCMS as Manager of Support, Support Developer, and Senior Product Support Specialist.

Scott Wicken attended St.Catharines Collegiate from 1999 to 2003, where they obtained their Ontario Secondary School Diploma. Scott then attended RCC Institute of Technology from 2003 to 2004, studying Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications. In 2016, they attended Free Code Camp to pursue Web Development.
