Danai Pestana Amaya, Ed.S. has a robust background in education with extensive experience at Somerset Academy Charter Schools since August 2009, where roles have included Assistant Principal, Lead Teacher, and Teacher. In addition to this position, Danai has served as a College of Education Professor at Doral College since June 2021. Prior teaching experience also includes work with Miami-Dade County Public Schools from August 2005 to June 2009, holding various roles such as Intervention Specialist, Teacher Assistant, Interim Teacher, and Teacher. Danai holds a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Florida and a Master of Education in Reading Teacher Education from Florida International University, along with a Bachelor of Education from the same institution.
