Mariana Costa is a Senior Scientist at Doppl SA since June 2023, specializing in engineering industry-standard organoids for disease modeling and personalized medicine. Prior experience includes a role as a Senior Scientist in the Automation team at Arctoris from April 2021 to March 2023, where Mariana focused on automating complex cell-based assays for early drug discovery. Mariana's postdoctoral research includes positions at The University of Edinburgh in the Wellcome Centre for Cell Biology and Nagoya University, where significant contributions involved establishing new model systems, live imaging studies, and identification of roles for kinesin-5 in plant cell division. Mariana holds a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from The University of Edinburgh, complemented by a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Universidade do Porto.
