Director Of Diversity, Equity And Inclusion at Donaldson

Verona Mitchell has extensive experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) roles. Verona is currently working as the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Donaldson since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Founder and Principal, as well as the CEO, at Cultives & Associates, llc from 2014 onwards. In addition, they served as the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the State of Minnesota and the MN Department of Human Services State of MN. Verona also worked as an Adjunct Faculty at The College of St. Scholastica, teaching courses on diversity awareness and management. Their experience also includes roles as a Training and Development Specialist at the State of Minnesota and as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at Bethel University. At Bethel University, they also served as the Director of the Frogtown/Summit University Community Partnership, working closely with community members to establish partnerships. Before transitioning to DEI roles, Verona worked as a Project Manager at AgriBank, FCB, in the marketing, research, and development department.

Verona Mitchell obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Organizational Leadership from Bethel University from 2003 to 2005. Verona later pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Organizational Leadership from the same university, completing it from 2005 to 2007. From 2007 to 2012, Verona attended Walden University and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Public Policy Administration and Cultural Studies-DEI. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Cultural Resource Management and Policy Analysis at Walden University from 2020 to 2023. Verona is also set to complete a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Public Administration from Walden University. Throughout the years, they have obtained several certifications, including Communicating Across Cultures from LinkedIn in 2020, Equity Leaders Action Network Fellow from The BUILD Initiative in 2019, Myer Briggs (MBTI) from The Myers & Briggs Foundation in 2015, and IDI Qualified Administrator from IDI, LLC in 2007.
