Amy Determan has a diverse work experience in various technical roles. Amy started their career at Iowa State University as a Graduate Student from 2002 to 2006. From there, they joined 3M in 2006 as a Drug Delivery Formulation Specialist, where they developed formulations for transdermal delivery and worked with external customers. Subsequently, they became a Product Development Specialist in the Consumer Products division, leading the development of a film backing for Magicā¢ Tape. Amy then transitioned to the Medical Products division as an Advance Product Development Specialist, focusing on developing a protein-based wound healing dressing and filing multiple patent applications. Most recently, they held the position of Biopharmaceutical Senior Product Development Specialist at 3M, where they managed a global product development team and collaborated with external partners, resulting in patent applications. Amy joined Donaldson in 2023 as a Senior Principal Engineer.
Amy Determan pursued their education in Chemical Engineering, earning a BS and PhD from Iowa State University between 1997 and 2006.
