Christopher Z. Hanzeli, M.A., CFRE has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Christopher Z. started their career in 2004 working in political campaigns as a Communications specialist. In 2006, they co-founded Clinixis Health Systems before transitioning to work at the Catholic Newman Center at the University of Washington in 2007 as the Director of Advancement. During their time there, they developed a comprehensive fundraising operation from scratch, leading to significant increases in annual revenues. In 2013, they joined Dominican Friars | Province of the Most Holy Name of Jesus as the Director of Institutional Advancement, and later became the Executive Director, Institutional Advancement. In this role, they grew the advancement team, raised over $54.1M, and created a mission-focused, institutionalized office. Currently, they serve as the Head of Strategic Initiatives for the Dominican Friars, supporting the evaluation of strategic opportunities to advance the mission.
Christopher Z. Hanzeli, M.A., CFRE completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a minor in History at the University of Washington from 1999 to 2004. Christopher Z. then pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in Philanthropy and Development with a specialization in Fundraising from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, completing their studies from 2012 to 2014. In addition to their formal education, Hanzeli obtained the prestigious Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification from CFRE International in March 2013.
