Chloé started their career as an apprentice in Safran, where they served as an apprentice change management specialist, helping the team adapt to major changes in work practices. Chloé then joined SNCF as an apprentice in human resources, focusing on recruiting fixed-term contracts and temporary employees. After that, they worked as a tech recruiter at Upsourcing, responsible for sourcing and qualifying candidates, managing the candidate process, and developing partnerships with startups and large companies.

Chloé then moved to BlaBlaCar, where they held two different roles. First, they worked as a Tech Talent Acquisition Manager from 2021 to 2022, and then rejoined the company in 2023 in the same position. Chloé Friess has a diverse educational background. Chloé completed their Master's degree in Human Resources Management (Master 2 Gestion des ressources humaines) from UVSQ Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines in 2019. Prior to that, they pursued a combined Master's degree in Sociology (Master 1 & 2 Conduite du changement) at the same university, which they completed between 2016 and 2018. Before their Master's, Chloé obtained a Bachelor's degree (Licence) in Sociology from UVSQ Université de Versailles Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, where they studied from 2013 to 2016. Earlier in their academic journey, they attended Lycée La Bruyère in 2012-2013, where they pursued a Hypokhâgne - prepa littéraire (preparatory classes in French language and literature).
