Scott Girard has extensive work experience in the engineering and technical field. Scott started their career in 1990 at Chugach Electric Association, where they worked as a Senior Substation Technician. During their time there, they implemented and maintained a substation predictive maintenance program and published various technical papers and presentations at national and international conferences.
In 2000, Scott briefly served as the Acting Manager of Substation Operations at Chugach Electric Association.
In 2008, they founded their own company called Girard Technical Services, where they served as the Owner until 2019.
Currently, Scott is working at Doble Engineering Company, where they initially joined as a Senior Engineer in Client Services in 2019. In October 2021, they were promoted to the position of Principal Engineer in the same department.
Scott Girard obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, which they attended from 1984 to 1988. Scott then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Engineering Science Management from the same institution, completing their studies from 1988 to 1992.
