Marcos Orellana, PhD, has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Marcos currently holds the position of Principal Power Engineer at Doble Engineering Company since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Peak Scientific as Chief Controls Engineer from May 2022 to April 2023, and as Senior Electronics Engineer from July 2020 to May 2022. Marcos also worked as an Automatic Control Engineer at Delta Electronics from April 2016 to July 2020, and as a Power Electronics Engineer at Premium S.A. from January 2015 to March 2016. Earlier in their career, Marcos worked as a Scientific Researcher in Solar Energy Production at LAAS-CNRS from October 2009 to September 2011, and as a Teaching Assistant at Université Paul Sabatier and CNRS from October 2009 to September 2011. Marcos'swork experience demonstrates expertise in power and electronics engineering, with a focus on control systems and renewable energy.

Marcos Orellana completed a PhD in Automatic Control applied to Power Electronics from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, starting in 2011 and finishing in 2019. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Automatic Control and Electronics from the Institut national des Sciences appliquées de Toulouse, from 2004 to 2009. In addition, they also completed a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Electromechanical Engineering from the Universitat Jaume I during the same time period of 2004 to 2009.
