Lance Lewand

Director, Insulating Materials Laboratory at Doble

Lance Lewand has over 30 years of experience in the field of electrical engineering. Lance began their career at MET Electrical Testing in 1985, where they served as the PCB Project Manager and Lab Manager until 1992. During their time at MET Electrical Testing, Lance was responsible for managing projects and overseeing laboratory operations related to printed circuit boards.

In 1992, Lance joined Doble Engineering as the Materials Lab Manager, a role they held until 2006. In this position, Lance managed laboratory testing, quality control, and research functions for the company's main laboratory. Lance also supervised a team of chemists, chemical technicians, and administrative staff.

From 2003 to 2009, Lance served as the Materials Laboratory Manager at Doble Engineering, where they continued to oversee laboratory operations and quality assurance. Lance played a crucial role in leading forensic work and failure analysis projects conducted by the lab. Additionally, Lance provided consultation services on matters related to insulating fluids and served as a seminar instructor.

In 2009, Lance was promoted to the position of Director, Insulating Materials Laboratory at Doble Engineering. In this role, they assumed additional responsibilities including supervising all laboratory testing, analytical test development, and the company's other two laboratories.

Throughout their career, Lance Lewand has demonstrated expertise in laboratory management, quality assurance, and forensic analysis related to insulating materials. Lance has successfully led teams and provided consultation services in their field.

Lance Lewand completed their high school education at Greensburg Central Catholic from 1976 to 1980. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, with a focus on Marine Biology, from St. Mary's College of Maryland from 1980 to 1984.
