John Scardena is a seasoned professional in emergency management and education, currently serving as the Founder of The Readiness Lab since May 2021, where innovative marketing and educational strategies are developed for disaster response professionals. As the CEO of Doberman Emergency Management Group LLC since July 2017, John focuses on creating customized emergency plans through research and analytics. Additionally, John is an Adjunct Professor in the Emergency Management Master's Program at Saint Louis University. Previous experience includes notable roles at Apple as a Business Intelligence Project Manager, the Federal Emergency Management Agency as an Emergency Manager and National IMAT Unit Leader, and the National Cancer Institute as an Emergency Operations Planner. John also contributed to the American Red Cross as a board member and has been involved in teaching emergency response techniques as a CERT Instructor. John holds a Master’s degree in Emergency and Disaster Management from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Science in Emergency Services Administration from Utah Valley University.
