Paal Johansen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the maritime industry, serving as Senior Vice President and Global Cruise Ship Director at DNV since January 1982. Throughout the career, Paal Johansen has held various leadership roles, including Vice President and Regional Director for both the Americas and Korea & Japan, and has managed several districts and departments related to safety management systems and certification. Additionally, Paal Johansen served as Chairman of the Cruise Ship Safety and Sustainability Forum from May 2018 to July 2023. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and executive education from INSEAD, the American Management Association, and IMD.
