Stephanie Barnes has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research and lab management. Stephanie started their career as a Student Research Associate at California State University San Marcos where they conducted research on Ambystoma tigrinum virus under the guidance of Dr. James Jancovich. Their responsibilities included generating a plasmid vector for expression of the virus and isolating and preparing ATV genomic DNA.
After completing their undergraduate degree, Stephanie worked as a Lab Manager and Clinical Study Coordinator at San Diego Mobile Doctor from August 2013 to April 2016.
In 2016, they joined Abbott Molecular as an Associate Scientist.
Stephanie then transitioned to DNA Electronics (DNAe) in 2017, where they held multiple roles including Senior Research Associate, Associate Scientist, and Scientist. Their primary focus at DNAe was platform integration, where they worked closely with scientific and engineering teams to migrate benchtop methods and techniques to automated processes on DNAe's technology platform. Stephanie designed and executed experiments, performed data analysis, and presented results for project assessment.
Overall, Stephanie has demonstrated their expertise in scientific research, laboratory management, and platform integration throughout their career.
Stephanie Barnes completed their education in the field of Biotechnology. Stephanie earned a Bachelor's degree from California State University San Marcos, attending from 2008 to 2013. Later on, they pursued a Professional Science Master's Degree in Biotechnology from the same institution, studying from 2016 to 2018.
