Lead Roadway Engineer at Horrocks

Sean Fahey, P.E., ENV SP is currently working as the Lead Roadway Engineer at Horrocks Engineers since July 2021. Before that, they worked at Felsburg Holt & Ullevig from July 2015 to July 2021, where they served as a Transportation Engineer 4. In this role, they were responsible for leading roadway engineering projects, including roundabouts, roadway widenings, interchange improvements, and urban improvements. Sean also worked on design-build projects and collaborated with multiple disciplines to ensure project success. Prior to that, Sean was an Assistant Transportation Engineer at Olsson Associates from February 2014 to July 2015, where they primarily worked on municipal roadway projects. Sean developed custom subassemblies to aid in modeling designs. Sean also has experience working as a Transportation Technician 3 at the Washington State Department of Transportation from June 2013 to December 2013 and again from June 2012 to September 2012. In these roles, they conducted inspections of drainage structures, erosion/water pollution controls, and water quality on projects. Additionally, Sean worked as a Civil Engineer, PAQ at USAF from August 2009 to June 2011, assisting project engineers with roadway and roof repair projects. Sean also reviewed contractor proposals and contract documents. Earlier in their career, Sean worked as a Civil Engineering Technician at the Federal Highway Administration from May 2008 to December 2008.

Sean Fahey, P.E., ENV SP has a diverse education history in the field of civil and environmental engineering. From 2006 to 2008, they attended the Colorado School of Mines where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Following this, they pursued further education at the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology from 2009 to 2011, specializing in Civil Engineering. In 2012 and 2013, Fahey attended the University of Washington where they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering.

In addition to their educational achievements, Fahey has also obtained certifications as a Professional Engineer from the New Mexico Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors, and as a Professional Engineer (PE) from DORA - Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies. No specific dates or months have been provided for when these certifications were obtained.
