Kirk Kauer began their work experience at Edge - The Service Company in 2015, where they served as a Sales Representative from April to November. In 2016, they worked at BYU as a Research Assistant from April to August before joining GeoStrata, LLC as a Geotechnical lab technician from September 2016 to December 2017. In 2018, Kirk took on the role of an Engineering Intern at Hansen, Allen & Luce, Inc. from January to September, and then joined Horrocks Engineers as a Hydraulic Design Engineer in October.

Kirk Kauer obtained their high school diploma from Madison Senior High School from 2007 to 2011. Following that, they pursued a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering at Brigham Young University from 2014 to 2018.
