Frank Riordan founded DMC, a project-based engineering solutions and software development firm, in 1996. DMC develops and implement solutions for a wide range of industries using a variety of technologies and platforms. It grew from the first two employees in Chicago to nearly two hundred employees and several offices around the country. Since the company’s inception, Frank’s guiding motivation has been, “What can he do to help everyone at DMC reach their potential?” DMC’s was recognized as one of Chicago’s Best Places to Work by Crain’s Chicago Business in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019.
Frank serves on the CSIA Board of Directors and is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). In 2016, he was inducted into the Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame. Frank is a recipient of the UIC Engineering Alumni Award and the UMass College of Engineering Outstanding Alumni Award, and he was a finalist for Ernst & Young Global's Entrepreneur of the Year. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Chicago. Frank previously worked with Cinch Connectors, Pratt & Whitney, Whistler Corporation, and was also Vice President of Controls & Automation Technologies.
