Coral Ricote Lajusticia

Director of Campaigns at Djurens Rätt

Coral Ricote Lajusticia has a diverse work experience in various fields. Starting in 2014, they worked at Barna Porters as a tourist informant and salesperson at Park Gϋell. Coral then worked at Ciut'art, where they guided visits at the National Library of Catalonia and the Museum of the World Cultures of Barcelona, while also working as a salesperson in the museum's bookstore. In 2016, they interned at Instituto Cervantes, observing Spanish language classes and teaching as a foreign language at BCN LIP school. Coral also worked as a Spanish teacher at Interkulturellt Centrum and Fredkullaskolan, where they taught Spanish to children of different ages. From 2017 to 2019, Coral worked at Djurens Rätt, a non-profit organization, where they planned and performed summer tours focused on promoting animal rights and an animal-friendly lifestyle. During this time, they also worked at Göteborg & Co as part of the Science Festival, guiding activities for schools at Experimentverkstaden. In 2018, they became an Art Educator at the Museum of Art, guiding activities for schools and visits for adults. In 2019, they took on the role of Project Leader at Djurens Rätt, managing and executing different stages of the organization's campaigns. In 2020, they became the Director of Campaigns at Djurens Rätt, responsible for leading and coordinating campaigns at both national and international levels, as well as mobilizing and training volunteers.

Coral Ricote Lajusticia pursued their education by first obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Art History from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Coral attended this institution from 2008 to 2013. Later on, in 2011 to 2012, Coral participated in an exchange program at Sapienza Università di Roma, where they studied Art History and Archaeology. In 2014 to 2015, they pursued Postgraduate studies in Non-Profit Organizations management at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. In 2016, they attended Instituto Cervantes for a course on Teaching Spanish as a foreign language: formation for teachers.
