Marcel Fratzscher is a prominent economist currently serving as the President of DIW Berlin and a Professor of Macroeconomics and Finance at Humboldt-Universit瓣t zu Berlin since 2013. Fratzscher has significant experience in international policy analysis, having held various positions at the European Central Bank from 2001 to early 2013, including Head of Division. Additional roles include serving as a Visiting Fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics and as a Macroeconomic Policy Analyst at Harvard University's Institute for International Development in Jakarta. Fratzscher's academic credentials include a PhD in Economics from the European University Institute, a Master of Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School, and a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Oxford.
