Belen Masia

Co-Founder at DIVE Medical

Belen Masia has a diverse work experience in academia and research. They began their career in 2011 as a Visiting Researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for a few months. In 2013, they returned to MIT for another Visiting Researcher position, this time for three months. In 2014, they joined the Universidad de Zaragoza as a Postdoctoral Researcher, where they worked until 2015. During this time, they also had a brief stint as a Visiting Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics. In 2015, Belen Masia returned to the Universidad de Zaragoza, initially as an Assistant Professor and later as an Associate Professor. In 2020, they also became a Co-Founder of DIVE Medical.

Belen Masia has a strong educational background in the field of computer science and engineering. Belen obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from the Universidad de Zaragoza in the years 2010-2013. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science and Systems Engineering at the same university from 2009-2010.

In addition to their computer science education, Belen also has a background in mechanical engineering. Belen studied at RWTH Aachen University from 2007-2008 where they earned a Diplom in Maschinenbau.

Belen's education journey began with their Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Industrial Engineering at the Universidad de Zaragoza, completed between 2003-2009.
