Kathleen McInerney is an experienced educational professional currently serving as Assistant Principal and K-8 Lead Instructional Coach at Distinctive Schools since July 2014. In these roles, Kathleen focuses on building teacher capacity and enhancing instructional practices to drive student growth and achievement, particularly for teachers who are new or require additional support. Prior to this, Kathleen held various teaching and instructional coaching positions, including K-2 Instructional Coach, Elementary School Teacher, and Child Care Provider, demonstrating a strong commitment to early childhood education. Kathleen's background also includes a role as Internet Marketing & Client Services Coordinator at MA Interactive Group, where social media management was a key responsibility, as well as experience as an Assistant Teacher at Sunshine Acres Montessori School and an intern at Bacchus Foundation. Kathleen holds a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from National Louis University and a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from The University of Kansas.
