Jaime Barraza currently serves as the Chief Education Officer at the Education Research & Development Institute since December 2022. Barraza has extensive experience in educational roles, including positions as Strategic Advisor for Biliteracy and Director of Biliteracy at Distinctive Schools since July 2017. Previous roles include Chief of Client Success and Chief of Staff at EdIncites from December 2020 to December 2022, and Chief of Staff at Acceleration Academies from July 2019 to July 2021. Barraza also worked at North Shore School District 112 from August 2009 to July 2017 as Language Programs Coordinator and Dual Language Teacher, and served as College & High School Outreach Coordinator at the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement from July 2005 to September 2006. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Latin American/Latino Studies from DePaul University and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Benedictine University.
