Bastiaan Elling possesses a robust background in mechanical engineering, currently serving as a Process Improvement Manager at Distalmotion since January 2019, with prior roles including Continuous Improvement Engineer, Project Manager, and Mechanical Engineer within the same company. Bastiaan co-founded medDARE from August 2020 to December 2023. Academic achievements include a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zürich, where significant research involved bringing a microwave hyperthermia applicator to clinical usage and working on control systems for medical devices during a Bachelor thesis at Karl Storz Endoskope. Additional experience includes serving as a part-time substitute teacher and completing an internship as an Orthopaedic Technician.
