Nicholas Brookins is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in media engineering and software development. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Media Engineering at The Walt Disney Company since June 2023, Nicholas oversees the advancement of streaming media technology and architecture. Previously, Nicholas held a similar role at Disney Streaming from November 2020 to June 2023, focusing on enhancing the playback experience across various streaming platforms. Prior positions include Vice President roles at Hulu and SmartDrive Systems, as well as leading media services engineering at Akamai Technologies, where Nicholas was instrumental in the implementation of adaptive bitrate streaming. Nicholas co-founded SAM Systems, Inc., focusing on video compression and streaming technologies. Early career experience includes leadership roles in IT infrastructure and systems integration across various organizations. Nicholas holds a degree in Robotics and Automation from Kettering University.
