Robert Preston began their career in 2001 as an IT Coop at Smurfit-Stone. Robert then held the roles of IT LAN Coordinator, System and Security Administrator, and IT Project Manager at Smurfit-Stone until 2006. In 2012, they moved to Rock-Tenn Company as a Network Analyst. Finally, in 2014, they joined DiscoverTec as a Sr. Systems Engineer.

Robert Preston attended the University of North Florida from 1998 to 2002, where they received a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Sciences.
