Meg McKechnie is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles within the finance and governance sectors. Currently serving as a Non-Executive Director at ZNE-Ag CRC Limited and Chair of the Finance, Audit, Security & Risk Committee at Disaster Relief Australia, Meg has a demonstrated history of strategic financial oversight as Chief Financial Officer at the University of New England. Previous roles include Deputy Chief Financial Officer at the same institution and Non-Executive Director at The Vasey Housing Association, where Meg led significant financial and compliance initiatives. With a strong background in forensic accounting from positions at Clayton Utz and EY, as well as regulatory experience from ASIC and APRA, Meg has consistently facilitated organizational improvement and compliance across various sectors. Meg holds a Bachelor of Business in Accountancy and has completed courses from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and AGSM @ UNSW Business School.
