Fiona Reid is an accomplished professional in the sports sector, currently serving as a Non-Executive Board Member at both Gemaur Gymanwlad Cymru and Boccia UK, alongside their role as Chief Executive Officer at Disability Sport Wales since 2007. With a background in education and training, Fiona has developed innovative solutions to promote inclusivity and disability participation in sports across Wales, holding various positions including Education and Training Manager and Consultant. Experience as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Chester and Wrexham University highlights Fiona's commitment to academic excellence, particularly in sport sociology and coaching. Fiona also served as Head Coach for Badminton at the Special Olympics World Games in 2007 and currently acts as a Parent Governor at Wepre County Primary School. Academic qualifications include a BSc in Sport Studies with Human Biology, an MA in Sports Studies, and a PGCE in Further and Higher Education, all from the University of Wolverhampton.
