Rui Morais serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Dis-Chem Pharmacies since January 2023, leading the company towards becoming the foremost integrated healthcare provider in South Africa with a vision that combines retail pharmaceuticals and healthcare services. Prior to this role, Rui held the position of Chief Financial Officer from 2011 to 2022, during which strategic financial management contributed to Dis-Chem's growth and successful listing on the JSE. Rui began a career in finance with senior managerial roles in the retail audit sector at Ernst & Young from 2010 to 2011, providing a strong foundation for future strategic roles. Rui Morais holds multiple degrees in Accounting from the University of Johannesburg, including a Bachelor of Commerce and BCom Honours.
