Rijk van Zanten is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in web development and education. As the CTO and co-founder of Directus since February 2020, Rijk has played a pivotal role in guiding the company's technical direction. Concurrently, Rijk serves as a part-time lecturer at Parsons School of Design and previously held a position as a part-time professor at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. Rijk has also contributed to RANGER Studio as Lead Developer and gained experience as a Super Intern at XXIX. Additional roles include Teaching Assistant at The New School and Allround (Web)developer at Occhio bv. Rijk's academic background includes a Master of Professional Studies in Communication Design from The New School and a Bachelor of Science in Communication and Multimedia Design from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. Rijk also served on the advisory board at Hogeschool van Amsterdam, advocating for the Faculty of Digital Media and Creative Industries.
