Mark Vanderpool has extensive work experience in various roles throughout their career. Mark began their professional journey as Captain - Battalion Operations Officer (S-3) in the United States Army Reserve in 2006 and served in various leadership positions for seven years. During this time, they commanded a company of 15 Drill Sergeants and led a company of Soldiers during Operation Enduring Freedom. Mark also received the Army Commendation Medal for their overseas service and is Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified.
In 2009, Mark joined IMS, Inc. where they initially worked as the Director of Business Development for over a decade. During this time, they were responsible for building strategic relationships and leading large and complex deals across various industries such as healthcare, government, and financial services. In 2020, they were promoted to Vice President of Conversational AI, where they showcased their skills in rapid revenue growth, team building and development, and sales process and methodology.
Currently, Mark is the President of directlink, a leading edge digital banking platform. Mark plays a crucial role in developing and deploying voice-enabled banking solutions that create a human-like customer experience through any channel of preference. With their expertise in AI-powered conversational banking, Mark continues to revolutionize the industry.
Mark Vanderpool attended Cayuga Community College from 2004 to 2006, where they obtained an Associates degree in Arts & Sciences. Following this, they enrolled at Syracuse University - Maxwell School from 2006 to 2008, where they earned a Diploma in Economics.
