James Carr has extensive experience in the engineering sector, currently serving as Engineering Standards Manager at Direct Rail Services since May 2007, where responsibilities include reviewing engineering standards and ensuring compliance for traction and rolling stock. Previously, James held the position of Project Engineer, contributing to various locomotive overhaul projects and achieving a City & Guilds qualification in 2D CAD. Prior to this role, James gained customer service experience at IKEA from January 2002 to May 2007, progressing from Co-Worker to Advanced Co-Worker in dealings with returns, complaints, and organizing sales.
