Simon West is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in frontend development and software engineering. Currently serving as Chapter Engineering Lead at Direct Line Group since November 2021, Simon focuses on fostering collaboration across disciplines and establishing essential skill sets within the community. Prior to this role, Simon held various positions at Lloyds Banking Group, including Chapter Lead for Frontend Engineering, where efforts centered on improving recruitment processes and driving strategic objectives. Additional experience includes roles at Met Office, Samsung SRUK, Nokia, and Cogent Media Ltd, showcasing a diverse skill set in technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and Agile methodologies. Simon holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Westminster and has maintained United Kingdom Security Clearance since November 2015.
